»Valentine's Day Ideas. What On Your Mind? PART 6 : Planning Your Valentine's Day Dinner
Thursday, February 9, 2012
1. Are you cooking your romantic meal at home? Make sure that you have a menu planned and that you shop for ingredients before hand. You don't want to rush through cooking or run back to the store if you'd forgotten something. The important thing is to be prepared, and also to get a bit of cooking practice before the real thing.
2. Know her food preferences. You don't want your romantic Valentine dinner to end with her in the bathroom or in the hospital. Make sure to consider her allergies before planning your menu, and also be ready with alternatives if she has other meal preferences; for example, she could be avoiding meat or steering clear of food items with too much salt.
3. Are you taking her out to dinner instead? Do your research and see which restaurants are considered the best and most romantic. If some restaurants are too popular with people, you might want to get off the beaten track and discover a restaurant that can be considered a delicious secret in your area.
4. Make reservations well ahead of time; three or two days before V-Day is certainly a bad idea. Every other couple will have the same idea as you on Valentine's day, especially if there's this one fantastic bar or restaurant that's perfect for a romantic night out, so be sure that you snag your own spot ahead of everyone else.
